You may need a dental crown if your teeth are

Permanently stained

Chipped or cracked

Severely decayed or damaged

Weakened from root canal therapy

The procedure

During the consultation, we examine your mouth to determine if crowns are the best option.

The area is numbed for comfort.

The tooth is prepared by removing any decay and shaping the remaining structure. A temporary crown is placed.

A mold of the tooth is created and sent to our lab to fabricate the final crown.

The completed ceramic crown is bonded into place. The color and shape are matched before permanently bonding the crown.

Benefits of crowns

Provide support and stability to the tooth structure.

Restore original functions and appearance of teeth.

Customized to match the natural teeth.

Types of dental bridges

Fixed - Is cemented with bonding and can only be removed by a dentist. Is used when there are healthy teeth on both sides of the missing tooth.

Removable - Used when there are no healthy teeth to support a fixed bridge; can be removed by the patient.

Benefits of bridges

The pontics look and feel like your real teeth.

Can restore the smile, chewing and speaking functions.

Prevent remaining teeth from shifting out of place.

Improve self-confidence.
